Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels

“Whoever said ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ has clearly never had cupcakes. Or wine. Or chocolate. Or pizza.”

-someEcards

Cupcakes, wine, chocolate, and pizza are all wonderfully delicious foods. I am drooling just thinking of them. What if you had each one of these together, would they still be as wonderful?

Or would you feel bloated. Gassy. Full. Sick. Exhausted. Fatigued. Or have acid flushing up your esophagus from serious heartburn.

Most have been told which foods are “good foods” and which are “bad foods”. We can recite this list from memory but still find it difficult to change food choices. Toss this list out the window and start from scratch.

Create a new list of foods that are “worth it” or “not worth it” that is unique to you.

Then, when you eat, pay attention to how the food makes your body feel. Do you feel as though you could take on the rest of your day, or do you need to call-it-quits after your last bite? Use these feelings, along with other helpful information, to help determine if that food is worth it or not, to you.

This list of foods may change from time to time, for we cannot only consider WHAT we eat, but also, WHY, HOW MUCH and WHEN. It is definitely possible to enjoy a tasty treat and still manage weight (or “feel skinny”)!

  1. Hey!

I’m loving your blog (followed!) but I would also like to invite you to submit a short piece to my own. I think your perspective and style of writing would be a perfect piece for my project.

It’d also be a great way to get your blog/writing out there.

Please feel free to email me (jennifer@youngandtwenty) with more questions, or take a look at the ‘BEING Young & Twenty’ page on my blog.

    I hope I’ll hear from you :)
